Anamaria Marinca bio
Anamaria is an Romanian Actress. She debuted on the big screen with Sex Traffic by Channel 4 in which she won the British Academy Television Award was awarded to the best actress. The actress speaks French, German, English and Romanian well. Her father, who is a theatre professor at one of Romania's most prestigious drama schools, is also theater teacher. The Young Actor Gala Mangalia awarded her the Best Female Actor Award of 2000. It was the European Film Promotion Board named her as a European Shooting Star in 2008. She taught for 4 years at the University of Fine Arts Music and Drama George Enescu in Iasi. bAnamaria Marineca is a Romanian film actress who was born on the 1st day of April, 1978 at Iasi Romania. Anamaria Marinca, an actress from Romanian heritage has made her screen debut in the Canadian-British television drama Sex Traffic. She won the British Academy Television Award Best actress for the role. In addition to her outstanding performance in her debut film, she is famous for her role in the Romanian art film 4 months 3 weeks and 2 Days which won her many awards including an award from the European Film Award for Best Actress London Film Critics. The actress was in Cristian Mugiu's Romanian film "4 three weeks and 2 zile" (4 months, three weeks and 2 Days) that won her the Palme d'Or award at Cannes Film Festival 2007. It also received two other awards, the Cinema Prize of French National Education System (FIPRESCI Prize) as well as the Cinema Prize. She also appeared in the Francis Ford Coppola film Youth Without Youth. She portrayed Yasim Awar in BBC's 5-episode The Last Enemy miniseries. Marinca appeared as Yasim Anwar in Oliver Hirschbiegel's Five Minutes of Heaven, in addition to in the Romanian Drama Boogie. Then, she played a major role in 2014's Fury where she was Irma her German maternal aunt to Emma.
